28-Tooth Thinners have smaller spacing between teeth than a traditional 30-tooth thinner, making them better suited for blending and thinning work. The 4" size is ideal for small, hard to reach areas.

Blending Shears, compared to thinning/finishing shears, have a higher number of teeth per inch of shear. Thus, the cumulative cutting surface is smaller and less hair is removed with one motion.
