Best used with line brush or layer brush technique: Starting at the lower rear area of the back legs, push the fur up with one hand, and using the rake in the other hand, brush the fur out from under the hand in "layers" or "lines." This tecnique allows the pins to reach all the way to the skin to remove as much loose fur as possible with the least effort for the groomer, and less stress and pulling on the coat for the pet.
